T.H.E. FARM is located on 450 of the 800-acre Tewksbury Hospital property in perpetuity as conservation land. The natural beauty of this site is breathtaking and adds to the many equestrian activities sponsored here. T.H.E. FARM’s activities have revived this area of the hospital campus, which had been abandoned for decades.

With strong support from the equestrian community, T.H.E. FARM has begun to create a scenic venue suitable for national-level equestrian sport competitions for riders of all abilities. Our show site, named “Strongwater” because of its proximity to a sparkling brook of the same name, currently includes multiple parking areas, two large show rings with competition-quality footing and warm up areas.

Volunteers maintain the fields and trails used for events and these events, like all of T.H.E. FARM’s programs, are open to the public. Artists, hikers, and bicyclists are among the many members of the regional community who now use this serenely beautiful, historic, conservation land for a variety of recreational purposes.
